Once you leave the lounge, you go through passport control to D1 and get your slip of paper after being questioned. Do NOT pay attention to the monitors in the lounge that will say 3-4 hours before your flight to go NOW to D1. So my question for this thread is can we as US bound OLCI passengers go directly to the respective lounges at Schiphol before encountering any security?Yes, you can - I did it yesterday returning the long way from Athens. Sometimes they will want to scan my passport at that point and maybe ask me the 3 questions, but not always. I just go straight to the gate or lounge. I haven't done the first one ever since online check in came along, several years ago. I am travelling AMS-ORD on Monday so am curious.

Has anyone seen this in the last few days? It is going full live on the 20th for all flights, but I have seen nothing. Passengers must be checked in at least 60 minutes before their scheduled departure time and be at the gate, ready to board at least 50 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Please note, it is recommended that you arrive at the airport at least 3 hours prior to an international flight. After going through this centralized security checkpoint, you may proceed to the PDC listed on your boarding pass. Gate information screens inside the terminal will only show D1 or E4.Īdditionally, starting June 3, 2015, passport control will be located in a single security area located on the mezzanine level above the check-in area and the transfer points. Flight information monitors throughout the airport will also display the gate number of the PDC assigned for your flight.įollowing the screening process, you will receive a receipt indicating your flight’s departure gate and boarding time. The gate information displayed on your boarding pass will direct you to your designated PDC. Upon arrival at the airport, check in at the Delta counter/kiosk as usual. Effective May 20, 2015, this will affect passengers departing on all flights to the United States. Apparently Delta has already informed its passengers of the following:īeginning May 13, 2015, passengers departing Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport (AMS) on select flights to the United States will report to a new Pre-Departure Center (PDC) for required security screening at either gate D1 or E4.

This was traditionally done prior to going through security at the gate. US airlines implement an additional security interview to all US bound flights.
